Five places in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province were recently listed among the demonstration zones for cultural auditoriums. 

The five places are Shengsi county, Dinghai district's Ma'ao sub-district, Putuo district's Taohua town, Daishan county's Qushan town, and Shengsi county's Caiyuan town. 

Zhoushan has been making efforts to advance the construction of cultural auditoriums in its fishing villages since 2013. 

The city is currently home to 307 cultural auditoriums. 

Shengsi county has in recent years been constantly striving to leverage new media platforms to conduct online courses that will better cater to local residents' cultural demands.
