Zhoushan in East China's Zhejiang province was listed as a demonstration city for supply chain innovation and application in China, according to an announcement recently posted on the official website of the Ministry of Commerce.
Fifteen cities and 106 enterprises made the list this year. To date, 25 cities were rated as demonstration cities for supply chain innovation and application.
Zhejiang Ocean Family Co Ltd in Zhoushan was named as a demonstration enterprise for supply chain innovation and application this year.
Zhoushan is currently home to two demonstration enterprises for supply chain innovation and application, and another enterprise is Zhoushan Yuanyang Fishing Group Company.
One of the reasons behind the achievements is that authorities in Zhoushan have in recent years been ramping up efforts to building a demonstration city for supply chain innovation and application.
Authorities have established a special group to channel resources towards building supply chains of oil and gas products, aquatic products and the river-and-sea coordinated transport.
Authorities have been focusing on promoting the digitalization of major enterprises, which has laid a solid foundation for supply chains.
Zhoushan has established a complete supply chain of all oil products that covers purchasing of crude oil and gas products, storing, refining, transaction and refueling.
