A touring route in Putuo district, Zhoushan, Zhejiang province in East China recently made the list of the 12 national sports travel routes for the upcoming National Day holiday that runs from Oct 1 to 7, according to an announcement released by the General Administration of Sport of China and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. 

The 100-kilometer travel route, featuring hiking, cycling, camping, a via ferrata route, go-karting and other leisure and sports facilities, is the only one in the province that was listed among the national sports travel routes. 

Here are some details of the route. 

Four days are allowed for visitors to spend on the excursion. They can visit Lotus Island on the first day to view stone sculptures and visit the nearby Donggang Sports Park for some exercise. Visitors can enjoy a night snack at Shenjiamen Fishing Harbor after exercising. 

On the second day, visitors can cycle or drive on the Luotang route, which offers breathtaking sea views. The road is well-known for being Putuo's most stunning road. 

Visitors can travel to the villages of Ganshi'ao and Luxiaxu on the second day to take in the picturesque scenery and visit the local fair, which showcases agricultural products, crafts, and cultural items. 

On the third day, visitors can go to Taohua Island to climb the via ferrata route and appreciate the amazing views of the bioluminescent bay at night. 

On the fourth day, visitors can return by boat.
