Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province recently unveiled an action plan to drive high-quality development in Zhoushan's manufacturing industry over the next three years.

According to the plan, the output value of enterprises above a designated size in Zhoushan will reach 500 billion yuan ($70.46 billion) and the growth of the manufacturing industry will account for more than 40 percent of Zhoushan's GDP by 2024.

To achieve these goals, Zhoushan will further develop the industrial chains for the green petrochemical, new materials, modern shipping, aquatic product, marine electronic information, and clean energy sectors.

By 2024, Zhoushan will introduce 200 advanced manufacturing projects and develop 30 enterprises that each has an output value of 1 billion yuan.

Authorities will also seek to advance the transformation of traditional industries.
