Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, has been ramping up efforts for its digital transformation and rapid development of its manufacturing industry.

In the first half of this year, investment in technical upgrading in Zhoushan increased by 230.7 percent year-on-year, ranking first in the province.

Digital transformation has boosted the development of smart marine, shipping, chemical and plastic, and oil and gas trading industries in the city.

To date, 11 enterprises in Zhoushan have been advancing the development of smart factories, and 13 enterprises have been undergoing digital transformation.

The dedicated channel for international internet data has been established in Zhoushan and more than 1,000 5G base stations have been launched.

The city has built China's first paperless custom clearance port, which simplifies clearance procedures and improves clearance efficiency.

Thanks to the data inter-reaction, the refueling service for international ships in Zhoushan has utilized the full coverage of industry chain, and the utilization efficiency of anchor position has been improved by 30 percent.
