Authorities of Putuo district in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province have in recent years been making efforts to advance common prosperity. 

For example, a hospital ship was launched to provide medical services for residents of the remote Huni Island on Aug 20. The ship is manned by 30 medical workers and volunteers. 

The medical team even brought advanced medical equipment to make it possible to transmit data such as patients' heart rate in real-time to the Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital (SRRSH), affiliated with the Zhejiang University School of Medicine. The ship is also equipped with a mobile X-ray inspection vehicle and a biochemical test vehicle. 

He Yang, the director of the emergency department of the Putuo hospital, said medical staff can also use 5G+AR glasses to provide specialist consultations. 

The hospital ship is expected to call at two islands every month and visit 16 islands by the end of this year. Its offerings will include healthcare management, digital pharmacy and first aid to residents on these islands, according to the authorities. 

To date, the ship has provided medical services for residents of Baisha  and Hulu islands. 

Besides medical services, the volunteers have also provided haircuts, repairs and drama performances to residents of the islands.
