The GDP of Zhoushan in East China's Zhejiang province in the first half of 2022 saw a year-on-year increase of 8.7 percent to reach 89.59 billion yuan ($13.28 billion), official statistics show.
Recently released figures show that the output value of industrial enterprises above designated size in the city grew 55.7 percent year-on-year, while the added value rose 20.9 percent year-on-year in the first six months of this year.
During the same period, the industrial power consumption in Zhoushan reached 6.58 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 62.4 percent.
The total investment in the city in the first half of 2022 was 54.88 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.1 percent. Among them, investment in infrastructure saw a year-on-year growth of 128.4 percent.
Imports and exports in the city from January to June was worth 149.77 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 29.9 percent.
In addition, retail sales of social consumer goods in Zhoushan during the period increased to 27.03 billion yuan, up 3.4 percent year-on-year, while the Consumer Price Index (CPI) expanded by 1.2 percent year-on-year.
According to the city's bureau of statistics, the per capita disposable income in the city in the first six months of 2022 was 33,674 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.6 percent in real terms after deducting price factors.
