Zhoushan in East China's Zhejiang province held a kayaking competition at the city's marine leisure sports center on July 24. 

Nearly 100 people took part in the event. 

The competition comprised a single stand-up paddling race, a single kayak race, and a family kayaking event. 

Tang Xiaobo, a competitor who hails from Changzhou city in East China's Jiangsu province, won the men's single kayaking event while his daughter won the women's race. The duo also took home the top prize in the family event. 

Aquatic sports have been growing in popularity among tourists in recent years, and this is partly due to Zhoushan authorities' efforts to develop the marine leisure sports industry. 

The marine leisure sports center in the city has received almost 10,000 visitors since it opened in May.
