Huangsha village, Wulong township in Shengsi county, Zhoushan in East China's Zhejiang province held a ceremony to commemorate the maiden voyage of two fishing yachts on July 10.
On this day, a group of tourists went on a fishing trip on the two yachts, which cost 9 million yuan ($1.34 million) to build.
Zhou Yuefei, Party chief of the village, noted that the two yachts will play a major role in attracting tourists and boosting the local tourism sector, which would in turn promote common prosperity.
The village has in recent years taken several measures to advance the transformation of the traditional fishing industry, including investing 800,000 yuan to build a seafood restaurant and establishing a tourist destination which features recreational fishing trip, idyllic landscapes and study tours.
