The Huangzeshan-Yushan crude oil pipeline in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, was pulled back from the sea on July 5 during sea-to-sea directional drilling.
This is the first time that the sea-to-sea directional drilling technology has been applied to a crude oil pipeline in China, which is the largest such pipeline in the world in terms of length and diameter of the pipeline and depth of water.
The Huangzeshan-Yushan crude oil pipeline extends 46.5 kilometers and is 0.8 meters in diameter and its deepest part is 35 meters from the surface of the sea.
After the crude oil pipeline is completed, it is expected to deliver 20 to 30 million metric tons of oil per year, further improving the resource distribution capacity of the oil industrial chain in the China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone.
