The Memorial Hall for the Opium War in Zhoushan reopened on July 4 after six months of renovation, Zhoushan Daily reported.
In addition to traditional photos, words, videos, and audio, the memorial hall also employs acoustic technology and lighting to create an immersive experience for visitors.

The memorial hall has received more than 4 million visitors and over 10,000 groups after 25 years of operation. It is part of the Opium War Ruins Park, which was converted from the original Zhushan Park.
In addition to the memorial hall, the park includes an ancient fort, memorial sculptures, and tombs of soldiers who were killed in the war.
