Sweet Jintang plums have become available to plum enthusiasts in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, in recent days.

The Jintang plum is so named because it grows in Jintang Island and has been selected as one of the 10 most famous fruits in Zhejiang.

The fruit is large in size and features small kernels, juicy pulp, and a sweet taste, and it is better to eat it when it is almost ripe rather than fully ripe.

Jintang natives also make fresh Jintang plums into preserved plums and plum wine, which have been exported to other countries. The preserved plums have been especially well-received in Southeast Asian countries, while the plum wine is popular in Russia.

How to make plum delicacies:

Plum wine: Spray sugar over the washed plums, put them in a clean bottle, and add some wine. Wait 15 days, and then you can drink it.

Preserved plum: Bask the plums for a day after removing their kernels, then steam them for a while, bask them a second time, and spray sugar over them.

Plum jam: Dice the clean plums, spray some sugar over them, put them in the fridge for one night, and then boil the mixture over a soft fire until it becomes thick.
