Local authorities of Zhoushan in East China's Zhejiang province recently released 10 measures to alleviate the burden on local businesses involved in culture, tourism, and sports.

The city will increase its financial support for innovative cultural and tourism products.

The Zhoushan office of the Zhejiang Rural Credit Cooperatives will offer 5 billion yuan ($745 million) in loans to these businesses over the following five years and will also renew the loans of qualified enterprises without making them repay the principal.

The Zhoushan government will also launch a campaign to encourage local residents to tour the city and offer coupons to stimulate consumption.

Subsidies will be given to travel agencies that bring in a large number of tourists to the city and hire senior tour guides who have worked in Zhoushan for one year or more. They can also apply for the delayed payment of tourist service quality deposits until March 31, 2023.

Tour guides who have participated in the Gold Medal Guide project organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism before Dec 31, 2020 will receive subsidies from the local government and they are also encouraged to establish a Gold Medal Guide Studio in Zhoushan.

The measures will expire on Dec 31.
