Twenty-three Taiwan entrepreneurs and photographers in Zhejiang province were invited to visit the province's Zhoushan city from May 27 to 29.

The three-day tour commenced at the ancestral residence of Sanmao, the pen name of Echo Chen Ping, a Chinese writer and translator from Taiwan, in Dinghai district.

The visitors toured the Nandong Art Valley, Zhushan Mountain section of Donghai Greenway, and Guanyin Shrine.

During the event, Zhoushan government departments also introduced the Taiwan entrepreneurs to city's business environment and policies.

They all showed strong interest in Zhoushan and many promised to bring more Taiwan entrepreneurs to the city.

"I used to visit Putuo Mountain (in Dinghai) every year, but never had time to see Zhoushan," said Li Kuo-yen, chief media public relations officer of Taiwan-based Want Want Group, who expressed an interest in investing in the city.

The event was sponsored by the Taiwan office of the Zhoushan municipal government, which expects that the photos of Zhoushan taken by the visitors will inspire more Taiwan people to work and start businesses in the city.
