Dinghai district is focusing on oil products, grain and oil. In the first quarter of this year, the district's grain and oil processing industry generated 1.527 billion yuan ($224.91 million) in output, up 54.53 percent year-on-year.

The output value of the district's petrochemical industry expanded by 90.5 percent year-on-year to 3.55 billion yuan during the same period.
