The grain throughput at Zhoushan Port in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, expanded by 58 percent year-on-year to 5.62 million metric tons from January to April, according to the Ningbo Zhoushan Port Zhoushan Port Co Ltd.

Zhoushan Port’s grain throughput in April rose 66 percent year-on-year to 1.73 million tons.

A staff member from the company said that the robust growth was mainly due to the significant increase in grain import.
