Zhejiang Ocean University in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, has started offering Yueju Opera course to its international students, local media reported on Dec 6.

The course is conducted by three performers from the Zhoushan Youth Yueju Opera Troupe as well as a teacher from ZJOU.

The three Yueju Opera performers are responsible for training students in pronunciation, stage movement, and theoretical knowledge while the ZJOU teacher teaches communication skills.

These international Yueju Opera learners have also been invited to attend the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the establishment of ZJOU Qingyi Opera Troupe by playing The Butterfly Lovers.

"Learning Yueju Opera is an unforgettable experience for me," said a Russian Yueju Opera learner. "It helps me feel the charm of traditional China and reflects my determination of learning Chinese culture."
