The 2021 China Zhejiang "Create Your Future with Zhoushan" Marine Economic Talent Summit was held both offline and online in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province on Dec 3.

The offline summit was attended by more than 100 academicians, young talents, scholars, and representatives of talent service agencies, while the online summit was watched by more than 300,000 viewers.

Zhoushan published a QR code exclusive for recruitment at the event. The recruitment code is connected to the online recruitment platforms of 10 Chinese universities specializing in marine affairs.

The city also inaugurated the Zhejiang Zhoushan Talent Entrepreneur Park, its talent industrial park in Shenzhen, and talent home on the same day.

Making use of the opportunities produced by the summit, the talent office of the CPC Zhoushan Municipal Committee, as well as the Zhoushan human resources and social security bureau launched a one-month online job fair for marine economic talent.

The job fair's first three livestreaming activities, which were held during the summit, were attended by 135 companies that offered 1,181 jobs involving marine electronics, petrochemical engineering, and equipment manufacturing.

In recent years, Zhoushan has prioritized the strategy of seeking development by relying on high-profile talents. Since this year, the city has attracted 102 professionals at the provincial level or above, a year-on-year increase of 28 percent, as well as introduced 15,483 university graduates, up 25 percent year-on-year and accounting for 1.3 percent of its permanent resident population.
