Zhoushan expected to see 2.88m passengers during holiday

The passenger flow volume in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province is expected to reach 2.88 million during the upcoming seven-day National Day holiday, according to local transportation authorities.

Due to impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the passenger flow volume in the city will decline compared to last year, with the number of passengers traveling by road expected to be 1.87 million, that of passengers by water transportation being 1 million, and that of passengers by air being 130 million.

The traffic volume of Zhoushan Cross-sea Bridge will remain stable this year compared to last year, with 420,000 vehicles expected for the seven-day holiday and the largest daily traffic volume being projected to be 70,000 vehicles on Oct 3.

During the holiday, 1,711 coach buses and 177 ships will operate in the city, while Putuo Airport will cancel 168 flights to southern Fujian due to recent COVID-19 outbreak there.
