Zhoushan in East China's Zhejiang province welcomed 144,384 tourists during the three-day Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, which fell from Sept 19 to 21 this year.

Among the scenic islands in Zhoushan, Putuoshan, Zhujiajian, and Shengsi islands were the most popular during the holiday, receiving 65,752 tourists, 36,465 tourists, as well as 14,063 tourists respectively.

Self-driving tourists in the city mainly came from Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangsu, and Henan provinces, as well as Shanghai, while group tourists were mainly from Zhejiang, Shanghai, and Jiangsu.

During the three-day holiday, Zhoushan organized more than 30 activities to celebrate the traditional Chinese festival, including art performances, cultural fairs, and street dance contests.
