Zhoushan in East China's Zhejiang province plans to allocate 156 million yuan ($24.12 million) this year to assist Xuanhan county and Wanyuan county-level city in Dazhou, Southwest China's Sichuan province, local media reported on Sept 19.

Of the total amount, 61 million yuan is expected to be used to support industrial development by establishing modern agricultural parks and production bases in Xuanhan and Wanyuan.

More than 60 million yuan will be used to help promote local scenic spots and agricultural products, attracting more tourists and customers from Zhoushan and Zhejiang.

A total of 27 million yuan will be used to improve educational and medical care facilities, as well as other infrastructure in the two places by building or renovating teaching buildings, senior residents' centers, water supply factories, and auxiliary appliances for people with disabilities.

Zhoushan will also recruit more than 6,300 employees from Dazhou by organizing job fairs and remote interviews, as well as enroll 111 seamen from the city. In addition, over 200 local students majoring in electromechanical engineering and tourism will take internships in Shengsi and Daishan counties.
