In August, Zhou would took an early bus to Shenjiamen fishing port in August and spent time at Zhoushan International Aquatic Product Market.

Mornings are the busiest time at a fishing port as it is filled with tons of fresh fish catch and fish dealers. The period is also busy and exciting for Zhou as he would carefully search for the by-catch, which is usually made into a fish meal or thrown away as garbage.

Finding a new creature is just the first step. Zhao then observes and measures his new findings, searches for more information about them, and then takes a photo of them to add to his database.
