Dongsha town in Daishan county, Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, is exploring ways to achieve common prosperity.

"As the first provincial Beautiful Town in Daishan, Dongsha boasts a beautiful environment, harmonious lifestyle, and sound governance, and is seeking to development through industries," said Dong Jingbo, Party secretary of the town.

Dongsha has accelerated the construction of a special steamboat accessories town by upgrading factories with low efficiency and gathering small-scale companies.

The town has also offered more public services for upstream and downstream businesses by establishing product exhibition halls, maker spaces, investment attraction centers, and a talent service center.

Dongsha also preserves its historic buildings and local customs to develop all-for-one tourism. Homestay management teams have been invited to upgrade and transform two local homestays and companies are encouraged to develop special tourism products suitable year-round.

Improving community services and creating a convenient community life circle is another part of Dongsha's common prosperity goal.

The town has invested 3.47 million yuan ($536,000) in establishing a homecare service center offering daily care, day care, food delivery, and a senior citizen activity center, and has also improved its services in medical care, basic education, and cultural and sporting events.

In terms of social governance, Dongsha adheres to the "At Most One Visit" principle for social governance and has created a grassroots governance community that resolves disputes and offers public services. More social forces are also encouraged to participate in Dongsha's social governance.
