Per capita disposable income in Zhoushan up 13% in H1

The per capita disposable income of residents in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province increased 13 percent year-on-year to 32,189 yuan ($4,963) in the first half of the year.

According to the Zhoushan investigation team of the National Bureau of Statistics, the city's economy continued to recover as the affect of COVID-19 epidemic gradually weakened during the period.

Per capita disposable income consists of wage income, net business income, net property income, and net transfer income, all of which experienced double-digit increases for Zhoushan residents in the Jan-June period.

After the COVID-19 epidemic was brought under control in Zhoushan and more jobs were available, the average wage income of Zhoushan residents jumped 14 percent year-on-year to 19,992 yuan.

The average net business income of Zhoushan residents increased 10.8 percent year-on-year to 4,594 yuan during the same period as the tourism industry in the city further recovered with the number of tourists and tourism revenue soaring 81.4 percent and 81.2 percent year-on-year to 5.64 million and 7.48 billion yuan respectively.

The average net property income and transfer income of Zhoushan residents increased 12.3 percent and 11.4 percent year-on-year respectively to 2,910 yuan and 4,693 yuan.

The per capita disposable income of urban residents in the city increased 12.1 percent year-on-year to 37,254 yuan, while that of the city's fishermen grew 15 percent year-on-year to 21,627 yuan in the first six months of the year.
