The Zhoushan center for disease control and prevention recently published warnings of infectious diseases in August.
With the sporadic outbreaks of COVID-19 in the country, Zhoushan residents are reminded to follow prevention measures for COVID-19, bacterial and infectious diarrhea, as well as other intestinal infectious diseases during the hot month.
The center encourages Zhoushan residents to receive COVID-19 vaccines as soon as possible and it also urges local residents not to leave Zhejiang province. Those who have to leave must take necessary measures to protect themselves.
The center advises Zhoushan residents wear a mask when going out, wash their hands frequently, ventilate their homes regularly, maintain social distancing, as well as use serving chopsticks and spoons. Prevention measures, such as scanning health codes and taking body temperatures, are required at public spaces.
It is also recommended that local residents drink boiled water and eat cooked food instead of raw or half-cooked seafood to avoid intestinal infectious diseases.
