The second Huaniao Island International Art Festival was held on Huaniao Island in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province from July 16 to 17, local media reported.

Young artists from around the world had the opportunity to conduct exchanges and showcase their talents at the festival, while art academies from China and abroad were invited to cooperate with local art studios.

Three major events, namely a visual art exhibition, a participatory art activity, and an international art festival, were organized during the two-day event.

In addition, artists, local residents, and tourists were also invited to participate in activities, such as interactive music performances and fish rubbings, which are expected to be regular activities held on Huaniao Island to entertain local residents, as well as tourists.

Organized by the Shengsi county government, the art festival was presented by the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University, the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the University of Barcelona, the China Trend Workshop, and the Beijing-based Gao Xiaowu Art Studio.
