A forum themed around the construction of a garden city in Zhoushan was held on June 29, local media reported.

Government officials, representatives from the real estate sector, and journalists were invited to review the achievements made by Zhoushan in constructing a garden city, as well as share their opinions on the city's next moves.

Ye Weijun, senior real estate specialist from Ningbo, said that Zhoushan should take the opportunity of Ningbo-Zhoushan integration to focus on its livability in the Yangtze River Delta region.

Yan Xiaobo from the Zhoushan municipal bureau of housing and urban-rural development outlined the city's construction of a coastal urban belt, cultural landmarks, as well as an urban economic zone.
