Zhoushan launches 10 red tourism routes

Zhoushan in East China's Zhejiang province recently launched 10 red tourism routes, connecting all the red tourism resources in the city, local media reported on June 23.

Located in Dinghai, Putuo, Daishan, Shengsi, and Lincheng New Area, each of the 10 tourism routes can be finished in one day.

Here are five of the routes:

Route one: Zhoushan Opium War Ruins Park – former site of Xiaoxiao Library, a revolutionary base during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931-45) – Nandong Art Valley

Route two: Zhoushan Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery – founding site of East China Sea Guerrilla Forces

Route three: Ancient residential buildings on Dapeng Island – Monument to Resistance Against Japanese Pirates – Jintang Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery

Route four: Memorial Hall of Dengbu Battle – Monument to the Revolutionary Martyrs of Dengbu Battle – Qinglong Mountain Monument to the Revolutionary Martyrs – Putuo Museum – Shenjiamen Fishing Port Town

Route five: Former site of the Dinghai county working committee of the Communist Party of China – Laoqi Monument to the Revolutionary Martyrs – Zhoushan Museum – Zhoushan Urban Exhibition Center
