A delegation from Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, attended the second China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Expo & International Consumer Goods Fair, which was held in Ningbo from June 8 to 11.

Purchasers from the city secured $4.25 million worth of orders involving food, daily necessities, and small electromechanical equipment at the fair.

Zhoushan Shangyuan Trade Co Ltd also secured an intent to strike up a strategic cooperation with a Bulgarian company.

Zhoushan's foreign trade has maintained fast growth since the beginning of this year. In the first four months of 2021, the city's imports and exports totaled 74.46 billion yuan ($11.63 billion), a year-on-year increase of 31.1 percent.

Imports amounted to 47.06 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 24.5 percent while exports reached 27.39 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 44.2 percent.
