More than 10 overseas students in Zhoushan learned about Dragon Boat Festival customs on June 10, local media reported.

During the activity, the students tried their hands at tying five-color silk threads and making zongzi, or glutinous rice dumplings, the traditional snack consumed during the festival, which falls on June 14 this year.

The students later distributed the zongzi they made to local sanitation workers.
