Zhoushan in East China's Zhejiang province started offering supplies to international ships on a trial basis on June 2, local media reported.

On the same day, the Zhoushan international maritime service base rolled out the first group of shore-based international ship supplies service stations, supply companies and supply ships for the trial.

In the past two years, the Zhoushan area of the China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone has improved its services for ship supply.

In addition to bonded bunker oil supply, the Zhoushan area has expanded its maritime services to living materials, ship stores, and spare parts supply.

Zhoushan will attract more eligible companies and ships to boost local maritime service industry in the future and two more hybrid supply ships are expected to be put into service by the end of the year.
