Businesses of special industries, including lodging and official seal carving, will obtain business permits right after their application.
Self-service machines for temporary identity cards will be available at eight local passenger terminals and three long-distance passenger transportation centers.
High-level overseas professionals invited by companies in the China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone can obtain work and residence permits within five days, which is 20 days earlier than before.
Overseas professionals invited by Zhejiang FTZ companies can apply for five-year visas, while special services will be available for local companies that send employees to other countries in emergency scenarios.
Overseas crewmembers who arrive at Zhoushan Port by an international ship with a connected passenger ticket from Ningbo and Shanghai do not have to apply for a certificate to stay if they will leave the country because of work.
Outstanding international students who start businesses in Zhoushan after graduation can apply for a two-year residence permit for private affairs.
Immigration service stations for international crewmembers will be established on Liuheng and Qushan islands to offer services like visa issuance, policy and legal consultation, as well as conflict mediation.
