Zhoushan in East China's Zhejiang province recently launched 10 travel routes centering around intangible cultural heritage items, local media reported on May 21.

Route one

Baiquan town – Nandong Art Valley – Dinghai Distant-water Fishery Town

Items: The gongs and drums of Zhoushan; flea dancing; shell carving; and mother-of-pearl inlay making skill.

Route two

Zongfu Road – West Avenue – Middle Avenue – Dongguanmiao Lane – East Avenue

Items: Wengzhou Zoushu (a talking-singing art in Zhoushan); ship model art; Dinghai glove puppet shows; and traditional wedding customs on islands.

Route three

Donggang subdistrict – Zhujiajian Island – Zhanmao subdistrict – Shenjiamen

Items: Traditional wooden ship making skills; ship model art; and traditional games for children.

Route four

Ganshiao scenic area – Putuo countryside complex – Luxiaxu village

Items: Traditional games for children; skills of carpenters, stonemasons, bricklayers, and shipwrights; movable-type printing; and tie-dye.

Route five

Miaozi Island – Dongfushan Island – Qingbang Island – Huangxing Island

Item: Fishermen's paintings.
