Zhoushan's per capita disposable income reaches 18,000 yuan

The per capita disposable income of residents in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province amounted to 18,186 yuan ($2,828) in the first quarter of the year, a year-on-year increase of 15.6 percent, local media reported on May 11.

According to the Zhoushan investigation team of the National Bureau of Statistics, the city's economy continues to recover as its COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control measures have been further enhanced. As a result, local residents' incomes have increased.

Per capita disposable income consists of wage income, net business income, net property income, and net transfer income, all of which experienced double-digit increases for Zhoushan residents in the first three months of the year.

After the COVID-19 epidemic was brought under control in Zhoushan and more jobs were available in the Jan-March period, the average wage income of Zhoushan residents increased 16.4 percent year-on-year to 10,836 yuan.

The average net business income of Zhoushan residents jumped 17.3 percent year-on-year to 2,572 yuan during the same period, the highest growth among the four components as the consumer market in the city further recovered in the first quarter of the year, with the business volume of the accommodation and catering sectors in Zhoushan soaring 119.6 percent and 108.6 percent year-on-year respectively.

The average net property income and transfer income of Zhoushan residents increased 15.4 percent and 11.3 percent year-on-year respectively to 1,688 yuan and 3,089 yuan in the first three months of the year.

The per capita disposable income of urban residents in the city increased 14.9 percent year-on-year to 21,314 yuan, while that of the city's fishermen grew 16.7 percent year-on-year to 11,718 yuan during the same period.
