The per capital disposable income of the residents in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, reached 55,830 yuan ($8,643) in 2020, a year-on-year increase of 4.2 percent, local media reported on Feb 2.
The figure includes 36,658 yuan in wages, a year-on-year increase of 4.5 percent, 6,715 yuan in net operating income, a year-on-year increase of 4.5 percent, and 8,266 yuan in net transfer income, a year-on-year increase of 3.2 percent.
The per capital disposable income of fishermen in the city increased 6.3 percent year-on-year to 39,096 yuan while that of urban residents grew 3.6 percent year-on-year to 63,702 yuan.
Zhoushan also stepped up efforts to help low-income residents shake off poverty last year. The per capital disposable income of low-income farmers in the city amounted to 19,200 yuan in 2020, ranking second in Zhejiang only after Jiaxing, where the per capital disposable income of its low-income farmers was 19,581 yuan.
