Members of the fifth session of the Seventh CPPCC Zhoushan Municipal Committee registered for the upcoming annual meeting on Feb 1, local media reported.

The proposals brought by these political advisors involve economy, medical treatment, education, and transportation.

Shen Na, member of the CPPCC Zhoushan Municipal Committee, is hoping for more support from the local government in healthcare for women and children.

Another member, Li Jiaxing, has set his sights on the development of the shipbuilding industry in Zhoushan.

"I've been keeping a watchful eye on the industry's development in the city and found that its technology research and development (R&D) relatively lags behind," said Li, expressing hopes that the scattered R&D teams in the industry will be integrated to solve the problems encountered by the shipbuilding industry.

"My proposal is about how to make parking more standard in rural areas," said Jiang Yue. "Increasingly more rural families have cars, but there isn't enough parking lots in rural areas. As a result, the narrow roads are full of parked cars on both sides."

Jiang noted that the local government needs to make a plan for the construction of parking lots in rural areas.
