Guanyin pastry, or Avalokitesvara pastry, is a low-sugar snack with sea sedge, black sesame, peanuts and sweetened bean paste as its fillings. The snack has a crispy and golden yellow crust and tastes soft and waxy.

The snack is named after a legend about Avalokitesvara who relieved people from drought.
