Seven vocational colleges in Zhoushan and Ningbo, two cities in East China's Zhejiang province, recently signed agreements to achieve more coordinated development, local media reported.

The cities will expand sharing of teaching resources, the organization of competitions and the development of education disciplines, officials said.

They said the metropolises have been moving to extend their cooperation in education since 2019.

Last year, their respective education bureaus signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement on the high-quality and integrated development of education.

The adult vocational education teaching and research office of the Ningbo educational bureau and Zhoushan Rongpu College subsequently cooperated together in developing vocational education.

The Zhoushan educational bureau and Ningbo Childhood Education College have also cooperated in teacher training, research and internships.
