Zhoushan in East China's Zhejiang province raked in more than 1.2 million yuan ($182,000) at the five-day 2020 Zhejiang Agriculture Expo, which was held in Hangzhou, the provincial capital, from Nov 20 to 24, local media reported on Nov 26.

This includes both online and offline revenue.

Zhejiang Ocean Family Co Ltd, a leading distant-water fishing company that has participated in the expo since 2012, is the main Zhoushan exhibitor at this year's expo.

The company signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Hangzhou Lianhua Huashang Group Co Ltd, the largest business chain in Zhejiang, to promote agricultural products carrying the "Zhousanxian" label in Hangzhou. They hope to see 50 million yuan in annual sales.

Ocean Family made 85,000 yuan in online sales during the expo.

In addition, a total of 40 local companies showcased their products on the online 2020 Zhejiang Agriculture Expo platform.

Statistics show that the online Zhoushan exhibition area was viewed by 83,400 people and 499,200 yuan worth of products were sold on the platform.

A total of 1,137 agricultural businesses showcased their products on the online platform, while the offline 2020 Zhejiang Agriculture Expo, with an exhibition area of 30,000 square meters, was attended by nearly 900 exhibitors.
