Zhoushan in East China's Zhejiang province has established six office buildings in Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Ningbo to attract more high-profile talent, local media reported recently.

The six office buildings, with a total area of 9,200 square meters, have attracted more than 60 companies and over 280 skilled workers, including 115 master's and doctoral students.

According to an official from the Zhoushan talent office, the office buildings in the three cities will make full use of their high-quality innovation resources to further exploit the abundant marine resources and develop the marine industry in Zhoushan.

In addition, the move will also help Zhoushan better contribute to the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, noted the official.

In October of this year, Yang Kun set up his startup at Zhoushan's office building in Hangzhou. "The main thing I'm looking for when it comes to starting a business is a full industrial chain," said Yang.

He added that Zhoushan's office building in Hangzhou can help put him in contact with many professionals and is suitable for early incubation, while Zhoushan is a suitable place to apply his research.

Although it has only been a year since Zhoushan opened its first office building in another city, companies at the buildings are already applying their scientific research in Zhoushan.

For example, the Zhejiang FTZ Lingge Intelligent Technology Co Ltd has started to manufacture unmanned surface vehicles in Zhoushan.
