The integrated maritime service in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) has made significant progress, as the oil supply ship "Ziyun" refueled the "Santa Vanessa" with 1,000 metric tons of bonded oil on Oct 3, local media reported.

That same day, the fueler "Ziyuan", loaded with oil provided by Zhejiang Provincial Seaport Investment & Operation Group Co Ltd, sailed to the Shangdong terminal managed by the Shanghai International Port Group to supply the container carrier "Santa Vanessa" with bonded oil.

This marked the beginning of cooperation between Shanghai and Zhejiang in the refueling business and also a step forward for the integrated development of the YRD.

According to Ding Tao, deputy director of the Zhoushan municipal bureau of port and shipping management, the two places will increase maritime service cooperation in the future in order to promote the integrated maritime service development of the YRD.

As the earliest region in China to be approved to supply bonded oil, the China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone supplied 4.1 million tons of oil in 2019, ranking first in China and eighth globally.
