Zhoushan and Ningbo, two cities in East China's Zhejiang province, have recently published targets for integrated development this year, local media reported.

According to the targets set, Zhoushan and Ningbo will in 2020 upgrade port cooperation by integrating port construction, ship organizations, port supervision and shipping service.

Construction of transportation routes, such as the Ningbo-Zhoushan railway and the Ningbo-Zhoushan expressway, will also begin in the two cities this year.

Zhoushan and Ningbo will jointly construct a petrochemical industry base with international competitiveness, promote the construction of green petrochemical industry bases in the two cities, and achieve high-quality development in the marine economy.

Zhoushan and Ningbo will play an active role in promoting the expansion of the Zhejiang Pilot Free Trade Zone (PFTZ). The Ningbo co-development and innovation zone of the Zhejiang PFTZ will also be established to replicate the successful practice of FTZs in China and develop the city's advantages in bulk commodity and international energy trading.

Zhoushan and Ningbo will establish a talent development platform and a unified public employment and recruitment service system to achieve talent mutual recognition.

An integrated market access environment will be created in the two cities by enhancing cooperation in market supervision, social security, administrative service, labor guarantee, and legal rights protection.

The two cities will also strengthen integrated development in medical treatment, education, tourism, transportation and ecological environmental management.
