A forum to discuss the smart marine industry was held in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, on Aug 29, local media reported.
Forty-nine high-caliber experts in marine electronic information from home and abroad gave advice on the development of the smart marine industry in Zhoushan and witnessed the start of construction on the engineer coordinated innovation center of the Zhoushan smart marine industry.
The innovation center is one of 14 such pilot centers to be established in Zhejiang.
It will focus on meeting the developmental needs of the smart marine industry in Zhoushan by gathering a team of engineers from universities and leading companies and will promote the innovative development of the industry by sharing facilities, scientific achievements, and technological talent with its counterparts.
Zhoushan also invited world-famous university graduates and leading professionals and teams in the smart marine industry to work in the city and published 62 projects in search of potential investors at the forum.
In addition, Dinghai district in Zhoushan recruited five State-level experts for its marine electronic information thinktank during the forum.
In recent years, Zhoushan has been strengthening exchange and cooperation with high-profile professional teams. The number of professionals introduced in the city has experienced double-digit growth for four years in a row.
As of now, Zhoushan has gathered more than 120 State-level professionals and 220 provincial-level professionals.
