'Zhoushan in My View' short video contest launched

A short video contest entitled "Zhoushan in My View" was launched in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province.

The event is jointly sponsored by the Information Office of the Zhoushan Municipal People's Government, the Zhoushan Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology, and the Foreign Affairs Office of the Zhoushan Municipal People's Government and organized by Zhoushan Daily and its English news portal.

Video submissions can range from 30 seconds to 2 minutes and must be less than 200M in size. They should be in English and depict Zhoushan's natural and urban scenery, traditional culture, and customs.

Foreigners who have visited or live in Zhoushan, as well as local Chinese speakers of English, are eligible to participate in the contest.

Participants are encouraged to edit their videos using computer software or apps such as TikTok, also known as Douyin, before submission. They should have English voiceovers or captions as well as background music.

Participants can first upload the videos to online platforms such as Douyin and then send the links to the organizer.

Submissions should be emailed to (mrwujianbo@qq.com) before Sept 30.

Only one entry will be selected for the first prize, while three people will win the second prize, five people win the third prize, and ten people win the Excellence Award.

Awards range from 100 yuan ($14.5) to 2,000 yuan, and the first 50 entrants will be gifted admission tickets to scenic attractions, as well as buffet coupons.
