Supplies such as oil, cables, and pumps, with a combined value of $400,000, were delivered to a Turkish bulk carrier by a crane at an anchorage near Xiazhimen port in Zhejiang FTZ in Zhoushan on July 17.

Zhoushan has now resumed its supply services at anchorage points, which had been partly suspended due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

After the outbreak of the coronavirus, supplies offered by the city were reduced to only oil, fresh water, and food, all of which were delivered in a contactless manner, according to Shen Yibin, a head official at the Zhoushan International Maritime Service Base.

The city has recently introduced a guideline on supplying international ships at anchorage points. The guideline stipulates that local enterprises should serve international ships which are rated as low-risk levels by the local authorities, and it must be done without human contact and nobody is allowed to board or leave the ship.
