Asia Venture, a LNG ship from the Bahamas, recently berthed at the ENN LNG receiving terminal in Zhoushan.

A total of 69,000 metric tons of LNG will be unloaded from the ship.

Since January this year, a total of 625,000 tons have been unloaded from nine ships berthed at the terminal, representing two-fold and three-fold growth over the same period last year, respectively, according to Qiu Qi, deputy head of the Ma'ao maritime department.

The strong results are primarily due to measures enacted by local maritime authorities to streamline supervision procedures for energy transportation by sea. 

The move is meant to ensure energy support for the resumption of work and production in Zhoushan and its surrounding areas. 

The ENN LNG receiving terminal is the only LNG receiving terminal offering refueling services in China. 

The terminal is designed to have an annual handling capacity of 10 million metric tons of LNG, making it the largest LNG receiving and refueling terminal in East China.
