The fourth session of the seventh Zhoushan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference opened on April 20, kicking off the city's 2020 annual two sessions.

The session was attended by 272 deputies.

Jiang Jianguo, executive chairman of the session, addressed attendees on behalf of the standing committee of the seventh CPPCC Zhoushan Municipal Committee, briefing deputies on the work they have done over the past year and setting out plans for 2020 to enhance their role in Zhoushan's development.

In addition, 10 members of the seventh CPPCC Zhoushan Municipal Committee delivered speeches on economic development, grassroots governance, urban construction, and more.

The fourth session of the seventh Zhoushan Municipal People's Congress will commence tomorrow.
