Residents in Putuo district of Zhoushan and Jiangbei district of Ningbo, Zhejiang province, can now access household registration related services in either district thanks to coordination between the two districts in facilitating such services.

Residents can submit their documents to the household registration authorities in the place where they are currently living and get a new household registration after the authorities in their place of origin have reviewed the documents online.

Wang Xinghua, a resident born in Jiangbei but now living permanently in Putuo recently got her granddaughter's domicile change procedures handled in Putuo without having to go back to  Jiangbei and do it there.

Wang got her new household registration within 15 minutes after she submitted several ID documents.

The service is expected to be promoted throughout Zhoushan and Ningbo in August.
