Putuo selected as a pilot to normalize basic public services

The State Administration for Market Regulation, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Finance recently jointly published a list of pilot areas for normalizing basic public services.

Putuo district in Zhoushan, Zhejiang province, was among the 51 pilot areas. 

Providing basic public services is an important government function. The pilot areas will focus on normalizing services in nine fields, including education, employment, insurance, housing and care for the disabled from April 2020 to April 2022.

Putuo will establish a normal system for basic public services and focus on improving facilities, equipment, personnel and management.

The district has been focusing on strengthening social governance in recent years. It has established a comprehensive service center for social governance and is among the best in the province in streamlining administrative procedures.
