Updated : 2020-03-17 (chinadaily.com.cn)

Qian Junhe, a Zhoushan native and taxi driver, bought 50 cartons of fruits and 2 cartons of drinks for workers on the frontlines in the fight against the novel coronavirus in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, on March 11.

According to Qian, he had been following the fight since the virus broke out and decided he should do something to help with the fight.

To ensure the safety of taxi drivers and passengers, he bought a lot of disinfectant and volunteered to disinfect more than 100 taxis every day.

He joined a volunteer group and distributed leaflets teaching locals how to protect themselves from the virus amid the outbreak.

He also wrote a song honoring workers on the frontlines and offering epidemic prevention tips, which has become popular in local WeChat groups.
